I'm trying to install an aux input on the factory radio (see the model etc below). There are three sockets on the back of the radio. Two are used, but one is not (see the picture below). I'm hoping it is something that will make it easy to plug into for Aux input. ? Does anyone know what this is? Better yet, is there any kind of service manual for these radios that I can get my hands on?


I've hacked aux inputs for other radios, but haven't been able to find out exactly where to solder on this one. Help of any kind is much appreciated.

rob- I ended up hacking it. I found the hack here: W203 Radio Hard Wired Aux (for my iPod)

Hi there, just got a nice c32 and found a 3ft cable with and aux jack on it laying beside the passenger seat and running under the dash presumable to my cm1010, also has an xm module (alpine xma-200rf) attached, module says it has aux figured out how to get it actived.was trying to avoid taking the dash apart. mercedes dash says on cassette says no cassette, cd says no cd, phone is no phone. going to guess the cd player is not hooked up but need to check it for the magazine.(found magazine and it's stuck/wont eject probably no cd inside , hence "no cd") anyway a point in the right direction from you wise owners may help,but looks like I have to take the dash apart to see if he hard wired it or hooked to the fm modulator box under the dash.(tried it in the alpine aux setting by turning on aux but it stayed on the xm station (probably no aux input).
