Default M320 Bose System

Sorry if this is a repost, can't seem to find the orig. Need some help on my Bose System, seems like the amp is going out, sometimes have audio and sometimes do not, if I turn the car off and restart it sometimes comes back on. Need to know the cost to replace or a site that may be able to help. Thanks in advance for any recommendations or suggestions.

the amp is up under the drivers dash buried far up behind the dash. probably not your problem, probably a cd changer issue or fiber optic issue.

youll need to disconnect the fiber optic connection and loop it together so the signal will pass threw the fiber optics. which youll need a fiber optic loop tool to do that. also you can turn off and on the radio and see if there are lights coming out of the fiber optic wires when turning on the radio...youll need 2 people to do this. if you not getting any light from the fiber optics at the changer then the radio might not be sending out the signal which is very common. but you could also have other issues.

Hey Chassis221 you have been so helpful, I also have noticed that with everything off when I turn the key to the second position before engine starts I hear a lot of electronic noise coming from under the dash, it ends within a few seconds, the heater fan blows cool air even when its in the off position, is this normal?

so the blower keeps blowing when the car is off? if thats the case you could need a blower regulator which is usually located on the blower itself under the passenger side dash. you can remove the lower dash panel and unplug the blower motor to see ifthat stop the blower when the key is off.
the noise from under the dash?? not sure....noise isnt coming from the radio area?

sort of from that area (radio), only does it with the key in the second position, once it stops the blower also stops, so maybe for a count of 5 seconds or less, thought it maybe a relay of some sort, didn't know if this was normal or not, I'm in New Jersey this week I may take it to the dealer, no MB dealers where I live and do not trust any one but authorize dealer to work on my ride...thanks again
