Hello,

I have a 2002 ML320 and I just purchased it from the dealership a week ago. After two days of owning the check engine light came on. I took it to advanced auto parts to have the code checked. It was a cylinder 6 misfire reading. They suggested to take it back to the dealership and see if they could repair. I took it to the dealership and they said that it indeed was a cylinder 6 misfire however it was just a loose wire. I started the car and the check engine light was not showing. The day after the check engine light has come back on. I am wondering 1) how much should this cost for part/is this a do it yourself problem 2) is it possible they could have cleared the code to make the check engine light go away?

definatly go to the dealer again. keep going back until its right. could need some new wires. dont hesitate to go back. you shouldnt have to deal with that.
