Default 2002 clk 430 not starting

Any suggestions here are appreciated -

Woke up this morning, and car would not start. When turning the key - All instrument panels work, all digital features, etc. But when turning farther to start engine - it would not turn over. First MB, but as far as the batteries work, I don't think this could even be battery related....

thanks again

Tried your spare key?

Do fascia warning lights etc.remain illuminated when you turn key to "Start" position? Try increasing load by putting the headlamps on also. If the headlights dim significantly when trying to "start" then I suspect your battery.

If headlights remain bright but basically nothing else happens then possible that starter solemoid connection is loose, disconnected etc. although this would be unusual. Alternatively the starter solenoid could be burnt out, jammed etc but this is also not very common. Not sure whether the starter solenoid circuit has a (large) fuse in it. Need to check fuse box under the hood in the black box at the rear of the engine compartment.

Most likely cause is that you have an almost dead battery.
