Default 2002 C240 Remote Problem

Hi guys,

My remote works well with opening locks and unlocking and trunk and panic.
However in the manual it says if I hold the lock or unlock button it will automatically open the windows and sunroof or close them if locking the car, though in my remote this feature does not work.
Any ideas?

Thanks

to test:
*initialize all the windows and sunroof. the one touch function for auto closing and opening must work.
**open all the windows and sunroof.
***close the doors
****point the remote to the door handle and keep on pressing the lock button for more then 3 seconds.

to initialize the window and sunroof, press the close button and keep on pressing for more than 3 seconds or until you hear a faint click.

I agree with Sleepwalker but I have one point to add. It can often take longer than three seconds before the windows and roof will react. I have found that I have topoint the remote at the door handle sensor from a very close distance (less than 3 feet).
If all else fails, usethe metal manual key from your remote in the exterior door lock. Just insert and hold the key in the lock or unlock position to either close or open the windows and roof. This can also take a second or two.
