2001 c320 and sam rear ...plese help
 

Hi everyone,

My car started was having these issues
1. Alarm going off randomly
2. Dispaly right and left blinkers would appear stuck and the rear brake lights wouldnt blink properly.
3. The gas tank would show empty despite having fuel.
4. Doors and trunk would sometimes not open.
5. Faulty dispaly light would go on and all these issues would happen simultaneously.
6. Car battery died. they changed battery and rear sam unit but when i got the car back the gas tank dispaly was dead. it was not reading any information. Additonally, today when i tried to start the car, it would shake (not a battery problem) and i had to wait 10 minutes before it would turn on. the check engine light went on

Did a sensor go bad or was the orginal problem never addressed. does the gas tank not read properly becasue the sam unit was not installed correctly. i thought they were all related... what are your recommendations??? please help....

sometimes when you install a new rear sam unit you have to re-programme the fuel level sensor.you can do this with the proper diagnostic tools.
