1999 E class heater blower

1999 E class heater blower

I'm new to Mercs so can anybody tell me where to find the heater fan and how to access it as it has stopped working and fuses are fine, are there common causes of fan failure on this model?

under the passenger side dash.remove the plastic panel, 3 phillips head screws. blower is accesible there.
the blower regulator could be bad, or blower seized up.
