1992 300E License Plate Bulb
 

I have a 92 300E that just had the external bulb warning light come on. The problem is with the passenger side license plate bulb. Problem is, I cannot get the new bulb to work. I also removed the bulb that was working on the drivers side to test and it didnt work on the passenger side either. Why would one side work but not the other all of a sudden. I just got the vehicle yesterday and all was fine. Car is in excellent shape with only 65k miles. Any tips to resolve the problem? Any known issues with this? Thanks in advance for any help.
