The hydraulic fluid level in the bottle dropped too low in the bottle for fluid to be drawn into the system. I refilled the bottle, but now have the yellow 4-matic warning light(lower right) flashing on and off occassionally, especially during initial acceleration from a standing start. It rarely flashes any other time. I have run through puddles in order to engage the 4Matic system and the indicator light will come on, but I don't think the system is actually engaged when it does. Is it possible that I need to " reset " the system in some way ? The system worked perfectly prior to this.

 

I am having the same issue in my 91. The light is flicking off and on (1 or 2 times) when I pull away from a red light. Some one please help us!!!

 

How low was the bottle, do you have air in the system !!!!!
