190E hot weather stalling
 

My 1992 190E 2.6 has a stalling problem in hot weather. After driving a couple of miles it will sometimes
stall and not restart for 30 minutes. I cannot get the problem to occur if I run it in the driveway no matter
how hot I get the engine. I sort of suspect the fuel pump but found out it actually has two fuel pumps so
would both have to fail to stall the engine? Or is there another part that might not be in the engine compartment
that could cause this?

welll could be # of things ..first if it dies you need to see if the fuel pump runs ..turn key and listen only runs for second or too...if makes no sound pm me ....second could be flywheel pick up could be going out ,,there mostly to it when it gets hot ,,you can ohm the lead out if it stalls to see how many ohms its got ...nothing over 1000 ohms hot when dies...it s the small green or black lead going to the ign cotrol moudle..on drivers fender weld...pm me if you need more info...could be other things but i would check them first..mainly fuel pumps to see if they run ..you might need someone to listen for you when you turn key...gary
