Would one of you guys in here with a 190e 2.6look underyour hood and tell me where a vacuum hose goes?

On the exhaust side of the engine, actually under the exhaust header, I have avacuum actuator with NO hose connected.
But where does the other end of the hose go?

Do you have a vaccume leak right now?

Looks like it's an air injection actuator. It should have a manifold source. What I don't know is if it's t'd in with anything else.

Alot of people disconnect those and plug off their vac feed when they go bad. Was it hooked up before-hand? Or was it just something you noticed.

 

I loaned the car to a friend. He kept it so long, he made me an offer on it and bought it. He lived in a non-emmision country and had someone disconnect a few things. Now that I have it back, I need to get it hooked back up. The car is running WAY too rich, It is running rich enough that the fuel air adjustment is out of range. I'm thinking its not getting air from the air pump.

I have vacuum ports available, which are now capped.

 

Will that device work if I conect the vac line to any intake port?
Or does it go to one of those solenoids near the shock tower and battery? I'm hoping that someone that has a 2.6 can just look under their hood.

 

Can I PAY someone to look at their vacuum hose for me? Blue

 

In spirit of what may be a useless reply; I will tell you that my 1989 190E 2.6 does not have that hose assembly. Sorry.
