02 clk320- cannot access trunk manually
 

Help please!

We are not able to access the trunk with the manual key. (Remote does not work) When the key is inserted, it won't even turn to the left. We've tried loading it with WD-40. We've tried vibrating it. No luck with anything. The key won't turn. There is no button release in the car either.
According to the manual, you cannot put the back seats down on this model. It has the steel plate behind them so you can manually lock the trunk if you want and no one can get in. So that leaves that option out as well.
Now what? Lol. Is there anything we can do?
