What rims fit?

I have an 87 300D and I am thinking of putting either AMG wheels or look alikes on it, and I was wondering which ones will fit. Or what should i look for when buying wheels so that they fit?

RE: What rims fit?

i have swapped wheels on 3 different mb's. my 89 560sl and 87 300d-t both have 17x7 s class oem new take offs, which you can find really cheap on ebay (under $500 including shipping for a set of 4) if you're patient. i put 17x7 amg's on my 81 wagon. all 3 cars took 15 mm hubcentric spacers, along with new lugbolts. the spacers and bolts are easily found on ebay. bolts with 60 mm shank fit the roadster and 123 wagon just fine, but were slightly too long for the rears on the 87 124 sedan. sounded like baseball cards in my bicycle spokes for the half block i drove that way. so i think you'll need to go either 5mm shorter on the bolt shanks or 5mm wider on the spacers. i did it with spacers. car looks and rides great.
