Default sliding moon roof stuck open

Borrowed my cousin's 87 300td wagon today and the sliding moon roof got stuck in the "cracked open" mode. I don't hear the motor at all, so I'm assuming the motor must have died. Fuse is ok. Any way to at least manually close this thing so we don't have to worry about rain getting in?

On my 84 300D there ounce the Plastic covers are removed to expose it (inside of the trunk) you can use a socket wrench to move the Sliding Roof.
On some of the earlier models you need an extra tool to allow the use of a Socket Wrench.
I am not sure which condition would apply on your newer model.

Thanks...worked like a charm! Actually found the same info in the owners manual, after you mentioned it. Go figure!

Like my Car most did not come with the Owners Manual. In any event it still needs to be fixed someday.
Were you able to access the site I PMed to you?
