Default OM 617 Flywheel Bolts

Hello,
I have an OM617 with the flywheel removed. Can I reuse the original bolts?

Regards,
John

Default Flywheel

I found another flywheel for an OM617. My intention was to drill four holes in it to match the torque converter pattern of the Jeep. Are they interchangeable from engine to engine? I have read conflicting opinions of this, wondered what you guys thought.

Regards,
John

Default Torque Converter

I am going to try and find a machine shop that can weld the Benz style tabs to the Chrysler converter. Then I can reuse the stock Benz flywheel and flexplate. I marked the position of the flywheel and the crank before I took them apart. The two converters are close in diameter. The flywheel to crank bolts will clear the Chrysler TC. I would run the Benz trans, but then I would have to have a custom driveshaft made and lose the four wheel drive.

Thanks for your input,
John
