New to me 77' 240D

I am new to md diesels and picked up 77' 240D auto with 246k miles on it for basically nothing. It has almost no rust, only just a little around one of the lifting points. There seems to be a bunch of vacumm lines disconnected and some plugged. It does not go in reverse either. She seems to run like a top though. Drove it 3 hours at freeway speeds just fine today.

Here are a few more pictures and videos. The car had just been started up this morning. It is about 40°out and it was kind of difficult to start. I am thinking the glow plugs are probably originals and need replacing from mercedessource upgrades.

I have been reading alot of forums over the last couple of weeks and have seen your posts quite a bit. I respect your advice. Would you be able to point me in the right directions or parts and/or shops in the PNW area?

I didn't know the dealership still offered parts for these older cars lol

She has more issues i have come across. It wont lock in park, only starts in neutral, and no reverse. I am guessing bushings from what i have researched?

Also have you had a chance to look at the pics/video of the vacumm lines that are open or have been plugged i posted up?

It is going to be a daily driver and i hope to get these things fixed quickly. We need to vehicles soon due to job changes and i wish i could find that old local guru to give it a once over lol

Well, it is still a no go. I had to manually pull fuel into the primary via a hand pump then connected it back in. I then proceeded to use the priming pump to get fuel into the system. I repeated 4 times until I got pressure in. Oh an it is the black pump.
