Hey all german engineering fans. I just bought myself a 81 240d for $1400. It has about 155,000 miles on it and from what i read on here thats just a morning stretch. I do have some problems though. It is leaking oil from a couple places i think. I have no idea anything about diesels but i want to learn. There is some oil coming from the top of the engine where you put oil in to and some near the glow plugs? When i bought it the guy said that there is a way to change how the transmission shifts from under the hood. It shifts really early and i think its in 4th gear at 25mph already and takes FOREVER to get up to speed. I know these cars are slow a buddy of mine had one a while back. I have read that maybe its a vacuum thing? Also i drove it on the highway for about 300 miles after i bought it and a couple times it felt like it lose power for a couple seconds, like it was just in neutral. I would really love some help with these questions and im sure all of your geniuses will square this newby away.

p.s. any good sites for interior parts? it needs some interior work.
