It slips in every gear except reverse when i say slips i mean it dosent even engage just revs up freely but drops right into reverse no slips at all.. its sitting in our drivway and he is willing to give it away .. Its a low milage one 150k .. looks a little rough but has always run like a champ until started slipping...

My question is .. should I bother? I mean i really want to .. I am mechanically inclined and love to fix cars ... but never worked on these cars in particular. I was wondering if I could have some knowledgable folks from the forum let me in on some things I can look at on the car the way it sits to properlly diagnose the transmission issue.. im not looking to replace the whole tranny but If I can fix it without too much cash involved id love to cruise it around for a while .. .and who knows maybe ill even give it back to him..
