MB250TD oil pressure

Default MB250TD oil pressure


When i bought my 250TD '91 oil pressure was OK but after i oil changing the oil pressure is reading kindda low, it is reading between 1 and 2 is that normal for turbo engine coz thats what a mechanician told me, even though i did not believe him.. thankx...

I also made a post before regading the best oil for my MB baby

because it was OK when i got it, the oil pressure was reading between 2-3 and now it is reading between 1-2 which i think there's got to be something wrong with it.. and i posted this question to 250TD users to find out if this happens to the TD only or my engine is dying. Thank you

Did you change your filter as well? Make sure it's on tight enough

Does it go back up to three when u accelerate? If so then everything is fine. If not u have a problem.

Yes when accelerating it goes back to normal (3)

Did your mechanic use a much lighter grade oil than was previously used as the oil would be much thinner and lighter hence less presssure, maybe someone had to heavy an oil in the engine previous? Sounds like this maybe the case.
