I'm going to go look at a one owner 1985 300 Turbo Diesel - has slightly over 200,000 miles.

I've posted on every Benz forum I can find and for some reason - people do not like my choice of a W123.

I would like your opinion.

I plan to use the car in Houston, as a second car to go to and from work and various errands. I've also contemplated switching it to Vegetable Oil - we can discuss this after a purchase is made.

I would love to hear what everyone thinks about this model vs. other models.

 

So your advice is to avoid VO.

and to go with an 84 model?

 

or just be prepared to put in a new tranny.
