I'm looking at buying a 1981 240D, it has 203k miles and is a 4 speed. The owner has sent me pictures and it is a pretty clean car other than a little rust spot on the passenger fender. He wants $2100 for it, is that a good price? What should I be looking for when I go see it?

 

Thats what I thought, i'm coming from a 1995 325ic BMW. How "modern" do these cars feel? I do realize it's a completely different animal but i'm just wanting some opinions about these cars.
