Jet "A" in MB diesels.

Anyone dumped Jet A in an olderdiesel benz.
Jet A is basicaly Diesel. Any side effects?

run hotter as kerosene does. Jet fuel basically highly filtered kero
We,ve run JP4 [jet fuel] in our hummve's

Been running on Jet A-1 for the past 7 months. I mix it with Lucas oil injection cleaner. No smoke, but it sure does smell.

Why

Why do you guys run Jet A in your diesel anyway? What are you trying to achieve? I could see if you were running through the tundra or extreme altitude....

Yup, got mine for free from a heavy maintenance av mechanic. The company had to pay 20 cents per gallon to dump the residual fuel collected from the aircraft. The company was happy enough to just give it away. Those days are gone though. My supplier got a job with an airline.

TCW3 2 stroke oil might be a better alternative than motor oil since it is ashless.
