Default Injector overflow tubes

I have an '82 300 D turbo diesel, on the injectors there are overflow tubes,they end at cylinder 5 and the end tube is just sticking up and plugged. These tubes are constantly weeping diesel. My question is, where are these tubes supposed to terminate? I would think they should go back into the fuel flow, but can't figure out where. Can anyone show me?
Thanks;
Rod

The hose for the number one cylinder should plug back into the three way junction on top of the fuel filter housing. The last on number 5 should be plugged and then they all just hop from 5 to 4, 4 to 3, and so on. Do not use anything other than the braided grey hose you buy from Mercedes. It's very inexpensive and installs just by pushing down all the way onto the barbs.
