How to fix this fuel leak?
I just changed the 2 fuel filters on my 84' 300D. It wouldn't run after so I used the hand pump. But I guess I had to open a bolt to let it bleed. I think maybe I overpumped it because now one of the lines to the fuel injector has a constant dripping leak. The photo below shows where (at the arrow). How can I fix this leak? Can I remove that line and replace a seal there or something? What do I torque it too when reinstalling? Pretty ignorant of diesels but not working on cars in general. Ignore the pointing finger in the pic below please. Thanks!

Loosen the fitting, move the line a little then retighten it. Just snug the fitting, don't crank on it.

Remove that immediately.
Agreed, teflon tape does all kinds of nasty things to injectors and pumps. NEVER use that around any kind of injection or hyraulic system |
