Hi there! I just bought a 73 SLC that came with 3 engines, stock one not included. Two of them are 280 and there`s a 300 diesel but I would like to know in wich car this engine came originally and wich year. All 300 I have seen around here had a different intake manifold. Any clue??

I guess thats why I have never seen one of those intakes before. Regarding flywheel, in this country (Uruguay) almost all Mercedes have manual trans.
At the risk of being killed because of my bad taste I was thinking I could install this diesel on my 350 SLC so I can use it while I get the original V8. Do I deserve death penalty?

Thanks for the info so far!
