A few newbie questions about '85 300SD
Just bought an' 85 300SD today and have a few questions for the more experienced ones. Overall the car is in great shape, but does have a few small issues.
1. There is a toggle switch in the upper left corner of the Heating and A/C controls that has what looks like a light on it. What is it supposed to do?
2. Is there a good source, and maybe even a guide, for replacing the bulbs behind the buttons on the dash. Just have a few that are out.
3. I notice that the rear defrost has very fine, almost invisible, lines across the glass. How likely is it to still work? If it doesn't is there a simple/cost-effective way to repair them?
4. Does anyone know where I can get an original owner's manual?
5. Any way to find original style (perhaps remanufactured) wheels?
6. Will the seat spring repair kits also work to firm up the rear seat?
OK. I'll stop there for now. Gotta say I'm really looking forward to getting this baby back to "like new" condition. Any help would be much appreciated. I'll try to post some pics later for those interested.
Thanks!
