Kit Includes the following: 3/16" 304 Stainless EGR Intake Flange 1/16 304 Stainless Exaust cap 700 Degree Intake Flange Gasket 2 Bolts for Intake Flange to remove original Copper High Temp Sealant to seal exaust cap I have designed the stainless exaust cap with the pressurized device to ensure proper seal. I found an intake to the center of the air cleaner from below to a plastic sort of trap, which then leads off to the intake air by the look of it. Is that part of the EGR system? It also has the blow-off from the valve cover coming in from the top of the air cleaner.

That sounds like the oil catch and crank case ventilation. Different system. Some people still don't like it, but the tube and catch system on the 617 is better than on most cars where it just belches oil striaght into the airfilter and intake track.

Is there any kind of performance gain by blocking the EGR?
