Hello all, thanks to everyone who helped me solve my earlier probs.

My E 300 D, 1995 has a timing problem, the car makes too much noise since I got it serviced from a new person, a few days back another technician adjusted the timing from somewhere below the fuel pump, close to the radiator, he told me he had 'retarded' the timing and beleive me all it was sounding like a new MB. In the morning when i started the car it was making a lot of noise which would go once the car would heat up, I went to this person again and literally forced him to fiddle with the timing again, this destroyed it and the car is again making a lot of noise.

Can someone please help me as to where the timing is set exactly right. And how to know if it is right.....
