Does anyone know what the average price would be for a REBUILT engine on a Merc diesel 300TD wagon (1987)? Would this price be any different in mid-late '07 when diesel was much cheaper than it would currently, in mid '09? How much would the price vary depending on the work put into it to rebuild it? If a significant amount of work was done to rebuild it, what would the top price be? I'm looking for the price of the engine itself; not labor to install it.
