chassis designation

how do i find out which chassis my 81 300 CD has? 004969? 004968? or...... 004538? i am trying to buy brake parts and am having trouble with which ones to order.

For future referance its located on your Metal Production Plate which is located on or near the radiator support (phased out starting in 1998).
