A/C expansion valve removal - 350SDL

Default A/C expansion valve removal - 350SDL
I'm trying to replace the expansion valve on my 91 350SDL.

I've removed the drivers side panel and the cross tube/duct but I am finding access to the valve really difficult. Does anyone have any advice or a schematic on how to do this...thanks.

this is the hard part of a/c repair on m-b systems. another source is diesel giant.com.
they have c-ds on a/c repair.
