Brake Pads

Hello all. I know it's a real basic question but you have to bear with me as this is my first MB. I have a 1982 240D and need to replace the break pads. I was wondering if anyone had a basic tutorial. I believe the body type is W123 (which I'm sure most of you already know).

Also, if anyone knows what type of break pads (brands, series, etc.) let me know so I don't have to go off the word of Pep Boys.
