Alternator belt tensioner on 98 E300 TD
 

1998 Mercedes E300 TD - My alternator belt tensioner (after looking at parts online I believe I referred to the 'Accessory Belt Idler Pulley' as the 'alternator belt tensioner' and was wrong) came apart and with it the belt of course and several cuts into the fan blades as well. Is there anything in replacing the tensioner that I should not be able to do myself?

It seems to be a job that is a do-it-yourself one.

However, inspect for stripped threads or cracks in the Aluminum.
