Default adjusting fuel air mix on diesels

I don't have a fsm yet for this engine and i'm looking to change the idle fuel mix. Runs great at wot, but tends to smoke at idle like it's getting too much fuel.

Default RE: adjusting fuel air mix on diesels

Also if the motor is highmilage you may need to rebuild the injectors. My 240D smoked at Idle 350K miles and I rebuilt the injectors and it made a night and day difference in the idle, performance and fuel economy. I went from 24mpg to 29 mpg. There is a small pin in the end of the needle on the end of the injector. The old injector the needle was gone the new needle stuck out about 1/32" or more.
