99 E300, 187k - Leaky oil cap
I noticed some oil seaping from around the oil cap, so I purchased a new gasket. It soon began seaping again, so I purchased a new cap w/gasket, then took it for a drive, rev'd it up to spool up the turbo. It ran great, except when I returned from the 2 mile drive, oil had blown out of the new cap all over the top/front of the engine. I removed the blow-by tube and confirmed that the crankcase is definitely being vented. The crankcase pressure appears to become excessive when driving the engine hard, which I suppose is normal, but it still shouldn't be enough to blow the oil through the cap. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
