99 300dt,
engine light came on.
under light throttle will miss and hesitate. Power is a bit sluggish until 2/3 throttle them zoom.
No leaks, runs fine on the highway. milage seems okay.

 

How long has it been since you replaced the fuel filter(s)?

 

I am thinking it maybe the MAF sensor. It would throw a code, and I believe it will limit boost utilization at the low end. I am looking at a "circuit" replacement which fools the computer with a signal. Less expensive than the $300+ for the MAF.
I am looking to replace mine, but at present am driving with CEL & less accel.

I do not believe a fuel filter would give a CEL indication.
