Default 87 300td

Hi,
I just purchased a 87 300TD wagon with 245k and it is great but completly gutless off the line, once the rpms get up it is actually quite impressive. What can I do to get a little more low end out of this car? I am not expecting a race car but right now it is hard to just keep up with traffic off a stop light. Is turning up the ALDA a good idea? If so does the intake manifold need to come off to get to the ALDA? I have already cleaned the banjo bolt and boost lines and they were quite clean.

Thanks for your response. The car does have great acceleration once the rpms get up a little, could a cracked boost line still be the issue? Also do you know where I can see pictures of what lines you are talking about? I am kinda new at this.
Thanks,
Cris
