87 300slld A/C problem
I have a 1987 300sdl in near mint condition. I have had a problem with the air conditioning for several years. I have replace the compressor, dashboard control unit, ignition switch and the relay. The car blows cold but have you drive it for an hour or more and stop the aircondtioning blows warm and won`t blow cold again until the car sits for several hours and cools off. The freon is topped off. I am running out of possibilities. The car has been to the Mecedes dealer several time and all they seem to be able to do is privide a big bill with no results. I am the second owner, it has 250,000 miles and up untill they fired their best mechanic and 30 year employee and was voted one of the best MB mechanics in nORTH aMERICA BY MB the car has the same mechanic. The other mechanics there are not the sharpest tacks in the box.
