85' 300TD rear-suspension

Default 85' 300TD rear-suspension
I know the wagon has the self-leveling hydropneumatic supension in the rear, but if somrthing needed repair I heard you can't get parts anymore for it. Is this true? Is it possible to just install regular shocks like those that are in the sedans? Thanks
