84 300SD brought to Colorado Altitude from FL
I just inherited a beautiful 1984 MB 300 SD Turbo Diesel. It belonged to my father in law, who purchased it new. The mileage is at 219,xxx, and since it sat for a few years, the odometer stopped working. The car went from NYC to FL, and now to Denver.
Problems / Concerns: The speed off the line is incredibly slow. Should I have to floor the gas pedal to get to move? The RPMs climb at a snails pace.
Once I get to the 2K RPMs, it takes off. I have a feeling that it should be able to move off the line a bit quicker. Everyone is on my bumper at lights.
Rear Window: The rear passenger window freely moves up and down. The motor doesn't make a sound either. Is that a do it yourself fix?
All in all, this is a great car. No dings, great chrome, and perfect interior. The radio doesn't work though. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
