83 300D vacuum problem/questions
Need some help on understanding my vacuum problem. the 300D will not stop with key removed and all doors will not lock/unlock. This is how I fixed it but I do not know why. May be someone with vacuum experience can help and willbe useful info forothers.
1) As per picture, I remove the feed to the 'green line' and plug the hole. The feed feeds the 1 'green' line, 2 'yellow' lines through a check valve ( door lock/unlock lines ) and a 'brown' line.
2) If the 'green' line is connected and the feed has vacuum, every time I turn the key to ignition, the vacuum is gone. The green line is connected to the ignition switch and there is a problem when I turn the key to ignition. That is why I remove the line and plug the feed. Everything works now.
3) Another piece of info is that if the 'green' line is connected thenmy vacuumgauge will show about 15in of vacuum when car is in idle andwhen I rev the engine, the vacuum will go down instead of of up. That is why car does not stop.
Any ideas what is wrong? What is the actual culprit?
1) What is the 'green' line for, climate control??
2) Why disconnecting it fixes my problem?
3) What is the 'brown' line for?
Any info is appreciated.

Thank you for your info. No wonder my wife said the A/C is cooler now with the 'green' tube plugged. The Climate Control must have a problem somewhere. Try to resolve it in the coming weeks.
