My 83 240D has developed a slight sweet smell when using the heater. That sounds to me like only one thing (not a cinnamon bun in the glove box).
I'm looking for information on how to access the heater core for inspection/replacment. Also, could it possibly be something else like a heater control valve leaking?
Any help would be appreciated.
