my blower motor doesnt work. I hot wired the fan directly and it works. any tips?

 

Yes,
First, start car, put heater on. Then test if you are getting 12 volts across the plug (female side) that you had unplugged the heater from (located behind the glove department box).

IF you get 12 volts, then it is likely the fuse. Replace ALL fuses (behind steering wheel under the hood). Sometimes the fuses corrode to a point that they don't burn out but don't allow enough current to run the motor.

If you do NOT get 12 volts, then next guess (After checking to see your fuse isn't blown), is it is likely the push button control panel. Unfortunately, no easy way to test this out without just replacing the whole thing but is likely the culprit. (It is also kind of tricky replacing it. Make sure you label all the wires as you take it out and match it up. Best thing to do is to buy this control panel used.
