I'm looking at a 300D because I want a diesel and I found the color I want. It has 136K on the odometer some vacuum leak problems but it looks like it's all there. Does anyone have an opinion about the 77?

I have a 76 300D, very similar to the 77. it has been a SOLID car. Same sun roof after decades, same engine, same trany..air vac leaks are common but easy to fix if you learn how. I would suggest you learn about how to fix stuff..Its usually very cheap and easy but mechanics just dont know these old diesels and misdiagnose all the time and rip you off..whether they mean to or now. Min get 20 to 22mpg, and its old as crap...my 2008 sedan mercury gets a little less so its comparable to todays average. You will have minor issues and kinks because of its age, but again its olid overall, and the chassis is legendary
