240D won't start can I bump start?
My 240D won't start. I turn the key, hear a click, and then nothing. This is really frustrating because I just had to get the glow plugs and relay fixed after a rat had chewed through the wiring. I also have a new battery, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.
I was thinking of pushing it down a hill and popping the clutch. Would this work for my 240D? (I realize there's a compression issue.) |

You can do itwith a manual transmission but it's very hard on the clutch & drivetrain. Even if you have an automatic it can be done, but if memory serves the owner's manual states the car needs to reach a speed of over 30MPH in order for it to work.
