84 300Dhas a relay-like clicking sound somewhere in the dash. It sounds like someone tapping out Morse Code. It comes and goes and is hard to isolate to a particular area. Anyone have experience with this? May be behind climate control - but heat and AC work fine.

In the 85 SD I picked up a month or so back, it has a clicking sound in the dash appears to be on passenger side, but hard to tell - my clicking is consistent...like a clock ticking. But since my clock doesn't work, I assume that's not it. I've also wondered if maybe it's a 'bomb' of some type maybe planted by former owners ex-wife..??

Seriously - my mechanic for my 83 D, sat in the car and developed a very curious look on his face...So I too am curious.

I too have the same problem. Never heard those clicks before from the Euro '75 200D and '79 230C.
