Is that were it is leaking? clean it off good and see were the fuel starts leaking at. I've had several leaks around mine, and one was the 0-rings. Than 2 injector lines, plus I still have a gasket leaking some where to fix. Mine is a 87 300D it needed a special socket to remove the 0-rings, but I machined a tool to remove them$

I have fitted the new o'ring,BUT! still leaking somewhere, I Have removed the complete pump(high pressure common rail )type. Looking at the side where the two plastic pipes go in , there seems tobe two small holes, with ball bearing, one of which seems tobe sunk back 3mm and other towards the surface, about 1mm recessed, I think this is where the diesol is leaking from im not sure, does any one now?? mybe its from the gaskets on the side plates with the four hex nuts, HELP!!!!!!!!!! Please.
