I'm moving on. This is one of the last turbo diesels sold in the U.S. before M-B stopped sending them for a number of years. In-line 6 cylinder original engine and transmission. Performance is great--much better than the non-turbo W210s it replaced. 35 mpg highway. If you're looking for a fine diesel of this vintage this is one to consider. Only 207k miles. Weird wear on left side of leather steering wheel (Sun damage? This was a Florida car when I bought it there in 2006; it has been garaged since then). Very slight dent in driver’s door; you won’t see it without looking VERY carefully. Body in very good shape but like all W210s one must be watchful for rust. All the usual M-B features of the time, including sunroof, fine stereo (original cassette/stereo/phone replaced with German OE CD/stereo). The car is in south NJ about 17 miles east of Philadelphia. For those who follow the technical aspects the car has the original engine (606.962; no meaningful oil consumption) and transmission (722.608). Yes the transmission was "filled for life," which is utterly bizarre for German engineering. Ever since I bought the car in 2006 with maybe 25k on the clock the transmission fluid/oil has been replaced periodically over the years. An electric part in the transmission that apparently communicates with the car's computer to control gear shifting was replaced by a Mercedes specialist a few years ago. The car has fine pickup, drives well with no rattles and the like. It gets a legitimate 35 mpg (highway) but you have to take quite a long trip going through a couple tankfuls of diesel fuel to get a reasonably accurate measurement. This is a car for the MB diesel enthusiast.
