Hey, I came across this 1990 mercedes Benz E300 turbo diesel. It has the 2.5 turbo motor. The car has about 240,000 miles on it. Amazing condition. No rust. Its located in Florida. I wanted to know what this car is worth. I have checked nada and kbb and they say its any where from $2800 to $4700 depending on condition of the car. What are some things I should check out before purchasing? Maintenance wise how are they to work on? Are they expensive to repair? Was there a lot of problems with this car? I just wanted a run down on the car if no one minds responding.

The engine in that car is amazing, I wish I had that in my car. Mechanically it's probably the most sound car MB has ever built. Repairs can be expensive, depending on who you go to...it's the higher labor costs that can get you.

Drive the car around for a bit. High speeds at first, then park it and leave it idle. See if the parked car will overheat by looking at the temp gauge. Check if the a/c works because that will cost a grand if it's not working.
