Found an '88 200D with a 5 speed transmission? I haven't heard of year/model before. Its listed on a regional online classified network. Any ideas of what this could be and if it would be worth looking at?

 

Is there aturbo straight 6 that will beable to swap with the I4?

 

The 200 is a unique car and I think you are lucky to find one here in the US. Why in the world would you want to swap the engine? If you want a W124300get US spec car and save yourself the work. Plus, you'll leave the 200 for someone who would appreciate the opportunity to have the I4 with the 5 speed.

 

I do not have much knowledge of auto to manual swaps, so if I can save myself the trouble, by already having a manual, I just need to worry about the engine. But I definantly see where you are coming from, that the I4 manual shouldn't be tampered with...
